On December 19, 2018, IRCC held its 107th Express Entry draw wherein 3,900 invitations to apply were issued to candidates with a cut-off score of 439. All the candidates who created their express entry profile before February 6, 2018, at 19:31:37 UTC and had scored a CRS of 439 points and above received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in this draw. Compared to the previous draw held on December 12, 2018, the number of ITAs issued remains the same; however, the CRS score decreased by 6 points.
Express Entry system manages profiles in mainly three categories: Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class and candidates with the highest rankings are invited to issue ITA through the regular draws released twice a month. The other candidates can improve their ranking by including a provincial nomination that provides an additional 600 points to their current CRS score. IRCC has now issued a total of 89,800 ITAs in 2018 in a single year which is comparatively higher to the ITAs issued last year around the same time in the year 2017.
