November 22, 2019 – Another latest draw held by the Alberta immigration ministry invites 148 Express Entry candidates to apply for the provincial nomination for permanent resident.
The CRS score minimum raised to the 400 points in November 6 selections round. In addition, the Express Entry candidates who are considered in the November 6 draw required a minimum score of 400 points to receive an invitation apart from other requirements criteria.
The federal express entry system manages a pool of candidates for Canada’s immigration categories i.e. Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trade Class, and Canadian experience class.
Express Entry candidates are allotted a CRS score on factors such as work experience, age, education, and language skill.
The Alberta Immigration Nominee Program (AINP) controls Alberta Express Entry Stream. The AINP program is the gateway for the eligible candidates to enter the express entry pool. To select express entry candidates, AINP demands that the candidates should contribute to economic development and must show strong ties with the society and country. However, a job offer is not required while applying for a provincial nomination, but the Express Entry who holds an offer, or graduated from Canadian post-secondary institution, or having any relative living in Alberta (parent, child or sibling) are more likely to issue an invitation.
Apart from, following factors may reduce the probability of candidate’s being considered:
- If Express entry profile expires within three months
- If working Express entry candidates falls under ineligible occupation list and high-wage and low-wage occupations in the province of Alberta
- Or, if working in an occupation that has high volume of submissions across AINP streams
A provincial nomination is worth an additional 600 CRS points and effectively guarantees that a candidate will be issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from the Government of Canada.
Draw held in December:
December 6.2019 – In the latest draw held on December 6, Alberta issued 132 invitations to candidates falling under the Federal Express Entry Pool.

In order to apply for AINP program, applicants need to have their profile registered in Federal Express Entry System.
