all program Canada Express Entry Draw for CEC Candidates PNP
  • July 21, 2022

An all-program Express Entry draw was held in Canada on July 20, its second since it resumed operations after a 19-month break. 1,750 invitations to apply were issued by Canada, requiring a minimum score of 542 points, 15 points more than last round.

For this draw, the tie-breaking rule was set for December 30, 2021 at 15:29:35 UTC. Candidates who had the lowest-eligible score were only invited if they had submitted their profiles to the Express Entry pool before this date.

In response to these latest invitations, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada will process new applications in six months. Applications must be submitted within 60 days.

In 2022, Canada has issued 12,615 invitations. All but two draws have been aimed exclusively at Provincial Nominee Program candidates.

In 2021, IRCC issued 114,431 ITAs, all to CEC and PNP candidates. It beat the previous record of 107,350 set in 2020.

A total of 16 invitations were sent under Express Entry in 2022 and 227 were sent overall.

On April 22, Immigration Minister Sean Fraser announced that the high-skilled backlog had been reduced by more than half, from nearly 112,000 in September 2021 to 48,000 in March 2022. The high-skilled backlog has dropped further since that date, although it has increased overall.
