On September 28, Canada held a new Express Entry draw and issued 3,750 invitations to apply.

A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 504 points was required for this draw, 7 points lower than the previous one. No program was specified for the draw; thus, invitations were sent to candidates from the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) and the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP). The Express Entry program is one of the most popular ways to immigrate to Canada.

The latest draw saw the tie-breaking rule implemented on May 02, 2022 at 17:17:32 UTC.  If more than one candidate had the minimum CRS score, only those who submitted their Express Entry profiles before this date and time received invitations.

IRCC says new applications will be processed within six months following these latest invitations. Candidates have a 60-day window to submit their applications.

So far, Canada has issued 26,615 invitations for 2022. The majority of the draws, except for seven, are targeted exclusively at candidates eligible for the Provincial Nominee Program.

A record 114,431 ITAs were issued by IRCC in 2021 to Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and Permanent Residence Program (PNP) candidates. It beat the previous record of 107,350 set in 2020.

It was the 20th round of Express Entry invitations in 2022, and the 232nd overall.
