The EEBC stream is for the candidates with a valid profile in the federal Express Entry system which is Canada’s main pathway for skilled individuals who wish to move to Canada on permanent residence.

The SI (Skilled Immigration) stream is for skilled and semi-skilled workers whose occupations are in high demand in the province of B.C.

The province periodically invites the highest-scoring applicants in each category to apply under BCPNP. Then successful applicants are nominated to apply to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent residence.

British Columbia has been regularly holding the PNP draw aligned with Express Entry along with the Tech Pilot draw of the province itself. The candidates under the Tech Pilot require a job offer from one of the eligible occupations.

In the Skilled Immigration and EE aligned draws and other PNP draws, the candidates are awarded additional 600 CRS points if they receive the successful nomination. That ensures the ITA from the federal Express Entry program.
