BC PNP issues 603 ITAs in multiple draws

In the latest draw held on September 10, 2019, British Columbia invited 57 skills immigration and Express Entry candidates to apply for new Tech Pilot draw. The candidates qualifying for the Tech Pilot program with a minimum score of 90 were issued an Invitation to Apply.

The invitations were issued across four categories including Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) – Skilled Worker, EEBC – International Graduate, Skilled Immigration (SI) – Skilled Worker and SI- International Graduates.

In the similar draw held on September 3, 2019, British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program invited 546 skilled workers and international graduates to apply for provincial nomination. The minimum score for the draw lies between 93 and 100 points. This is the second-largest draw held by the BCPNP.

Total 600 additional points are allotted to the candidates with an invitation under B.C’s Express Entry aligned streams (EEBC – skilled worker and EEBC – International Graduate Streams under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) provided their application is approved for provincial nomination.

The candidates with a successful nomination from province who belongs to skills immigration will be allowed for permanent residence processed outside the Express Entry System.  Individuals, who intend to immigrate to Canada via BC PNP, have to submit an online profile with BC PNP’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) and fulfill all the required formalities.

Along with the Federal Express Entry, Canada allows its provinces to conduct the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) to invite candidates for Canada PR. British Columbia is one such province inviting candidates through BC PNP. The candidates who obtain ITA through PNP are awarded 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score and get an additional edge in by securing an ITA for Canadian PR in the subsequent Express Entry Draw.
