In a recent draw, British Columbia has issued more than 270 nomination invitations through multiple streams of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program. The January 24 draws were split into three categories: general, targeted and entrepreneur

The general draw, which included tech occupations, issued 221 invitations for skilled workers and international graduates through five BC PNP streams. Minimum scores ranged from 82 to 102 points.

A further 31 invitations were issued to skilled workers and international graduates scoring at least 60 points in a draw targeting Early Childhood Educators and Assistants under NOC 42202.

Health workers were targeted with 18 invitations that were distributed to skilled workers, international graduates, entry level and semi-skilled workers with a 60-point minimum score.

Additional ‘less than 5’ targeted invitations were sent to skilled workers and international graduates under NOCs 31103 and 32104 for veterinarians, animal health technologists, and veterinary technicians, respectively, with a minimum score of 60. To protect the identities of those who were invited, the number of invitations was listed as ‘less than 5’.

The Entrepreneur Stream draws saw the province issued ‘less than 5’ invitations through two streams. A minimum score of 115 points was required for the general category, while 129 points were required for the regional pilot category.
