Canada Express Entry invites 2000 applicants in its latest draw

2,000 Invitations to Apply were issued in the latest all-program Express Entry draw on August 3, the largest since the program resumed after a 19-month hiatus. In this draw, the minimum CRS score was 533 points, 9 points lower than in the previous draw.

For this draw, the tie-breaking rule was set for January 06, 2022 at 14:29:50 UTC.If more than one candidate had the minimum CRS score, only those who submitted their Express Entry profiles before this date and time received invitations.

New applications following these latest invitations will be processed within six months, according to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. Candidates have 60 days to submit their applications.

It was the 16th invitation round under Express Entry in 2022 and the 228th overall.

As of now, 14,615 invitations have been issued by Canada in 2022. All but three draws have been aimed exclusively at Provincial Nominee Program candidates.

In 2021, IRCC issued 114,431 ITAs, all to Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and PNP applicants. It beat the previous record of 107,350 set in 2020.
