Canada invited PNP applicants in latest Express Entry (EE) draw. On August 19, 2020, Canada announced 160th EE draw results where 600 invitations are sent.

Applicants with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores of 771 were invited in this round. Applicants must hold provincial nomination from a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) to get selected. Such holders get 600 CRS points automatically to their base human capital score.

This was the 3rd round of the month where Invitations to Apply (ITAs) are sent from the Canadian government.

Through the Federal Skilled Trades Program, another 250 ITAs were sent to EE applicants on August 6, 2020. Minimum CRS requirement was 415.

If Canada continues such pattern of sending invitations after coronavirus lockdown since March 18, then the chances of Canadian Experience Class draw will increase.

EE is the application system to manage the applicant’s pool for Canada’s 3 major economic immigration classes called, Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

An applicant with highest-ranks in the EE pool receives ITAs in regular invitation rounds.
