Canada to use Biometrics for Immigration Applicants from July 31, 2018

Canada use Biometric -Biometric for foreign nationals

From July 31, 2018, IRCC (Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Canada) would be including biometric recognition along with a photo for Canadian Immigration Application for immigrants from Europe, the Middle East, and African continents. From December 31, 2018, the change will be applicable for the applicants from Asia, Asia Pacific, and Americans.

Biometric tools are best known for measuring unique physical characteristics such as fingerprints, vein prints, or eye scans and are globally recognized along with the best-known security tool. According to Immigration Lawyer Evelyn Ackah, the Canadian Government will launch a new biometrics program to collect personal information, fingerprints, and photographs, for all immigration applicants travelling to Canada. Once the samples are collected and collated, it would be valid for ten years. So whenever status of the applicant changes, it would be automatically reflected in the system. The primary check through fingerprints is available at the locations: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Jalandhar, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Pune.
