IRCC held another Express Entry for Canadian Experience Class on April 29 issuing 6000 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to the candidates with the cut-off Comprehensive Ranking (CRS) score 400 points.

The tie breaking rule was implemented in this draw for the profiles that were submitted before April 24, 2021 at 15:24:49 UTC. Means the candidates who have minimum score of 400 points would have received the invitation provided they have submitted their profile before the given time.

This is another huge draw from IRCC for Canadian Experience Class where they are inviting the candidates who are already working in Canada and have experience of working there. IRCC, in order to fulfil their targets to invite the immigrants, holds the draw for the candidates who are already within borders and offers them opportunity to secure PR.

IRCC had held the CEC and PNP program-specific draws back to back. In later 2020, IRCC started holding all-program draw again inviting the highest number of invitations in one draw where the CRS score cut-off declined gradually.

Express Entry is a system that the federal government uses to manage applications for Canada’s three main economic-class programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), the Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC) and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). In addition to that, the most provinces also have immigration streams that are aligned with the Express Entry system.

In the Express Entry system, candidates are ranked based on their CRS score that considers multiple factors including their age, work experience, education and proficiency in French or English. In some cases, the date and time at which the Express Entry profile was created is also a ranking factor.

All-program invitation round that is for the entire EE pool may have higher cut-off score as the numbers of invitations to be issued in one go is limited while number of candidates is huge. In the program-specific draw, the smaller pool of candidates usually keeps the cut-off score low compared to the all program draw.
