February 5, 2020 – In the latest draw held on February 5, the government of Canada issued 3,500 invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence. The invitations were issued to the candidates who are falling under the Express Entry stream.
In the draw, the minimum comprehensive ranking system (CRS) score was 472, an increase of one point over the previous draw held on January 22.
The February 5 invitation round brings the total number of ITAs issued this year to 10,300.
The express entry system manages the pool of candidates for three of Canada’s main skilled labor immigration categories i.e.
- Federal Skilled Worker Class
- Federal Skilled Trades Class
- Canadian Experience Class
Candidates are ranked under the pool based score that considers the factors such as age, education, skilled work experience, and proficiency in English or French.
A job offer is not mandatory in order to be eligible for Express Entry invitation to apply. However, additional CRS points are allotted if a candidate has one.
Candidates with highest rank score are invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence through such regular draws from the pool.
