Green Card Renewal Applicants' Validity Extended
The USCIS has just declared that applicants seeking renewals will have their US Green Card validity extended. Applicants seeking Green Card renewals now have a 36-month validity period rather than the previous 24-month one. The modifications are in force as of September 10, 2024.
The new amendments will allow for this extension for lawful permanent residents who submit the I-90 Form to request the renewal of their US green card. The purpose of this action is to assist lawful permanent residents in maintaining their status while they wait for the renewal of their US green card.
