IELTS (International English Language Testing System) and CELPIP (Canada English Language Proficiency Index Program), which are the English language proficiency tests, hold great importance when it comes to studying abroad or moving abroad for permanent residence. As for Canada, gaining a higher score in such a language proficiency system helps you to gain more points in their point bases system to calculate CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) points.
As the pandemic affected routine activities of all the sectors and people’s life, the examinations were postponed or in some cases, online examination through IELTS Indicator was conducted. Recently, Canadian provinces have decided to ease the restrictions of lockdown. The language test providers will be making the tests available as per the convenience, of course by taking the required measures for health and safety.
In Canada, IELTS tests are currently available in few provinces, viz. British Columbia, Alberta and Manitoba, and CELPIP is available in British Columbia. Paragon Testing Enterprise, the administer company of CELPIP, has said that the testing will be delivered in Alberta, Manitoba, and Newfoundland and Labrador in the coming weeks.
IELTS is currently available in 29 countries as per their conditions and CELPIP is available in Hong Kong. The test providers will be ensuring the health safety of the employees and test takers participating in the test first and then give the test.
