The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) is one of several Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP) that provides immigration to international applicants who do not have a job offer.
There are two active provincial nomination streams that do not necessitate job offers. The first one is the Saskatchewan Express Entry-linked stream, which requires applicants to have an active profile in the federal Express Entry system.
Candidates must create an Express Entry profile and express their interest in settling in Saskatchewan in order to be considered for an invitation to apply for a provincial nomination under this stream.
Express Entry candidates who receive a provincial nomination from the province of Saskatchewan receive 600 points added to their CRS score. This award effectively guarantees them the opportunity to apply for permanent residence in Canada.
The second option is the Saskatchewan Occupation In-Demand stream, which does not require an Express Entry profile. The stream is designed to bring skilled workers to fill labour market needs. An applicant must have at least one year of work experience in one of the positions on Saskatchewan’s Occupations In-Demand list in order to be considered.
Saskatchewan issues invitations through these two streams on a regular basis. This year, 2,733 Saskatchewan Express Entry candidates and 3,433 Occupations In-Demand candidates have been invited. In total, 6,166 invitations have been issued in 2021 through these two streams.
