Here is some important information for Indians applying for Canada visas. It is for all applicants who are currently undergoing processing as well as those who will be applying for Canada Visas in the future. VFS Global shared the information regarding passport submission.
With the easing of COVID restrictions, visa applicants in India can now submit and collect their passports in person. Moreover, this new change is expected to take effect on August 1, 2022. All Visa Application Centers (VACs) in India will be affected by this change.
An appointment is required to submit a passport in person. Additionally, only the applicants can submit and collect their passports in-person. Timings for these services will be 9:00 am to 5:00 pm IST from Monday to Friday.
Also, walk-in services on Saturdays will be discontinued effective August 1, 2022. However, 2 way courier services for passport submission will remain unchanged. In order to submit and collect passports in person, you must have a prior appointment.
