Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program issued 278 letters of advice to applicants for Canadian immigration on September 8. Three streams of the MPNP issued LAAs in this draw

  • Skilled Workers in Manitoba — 217 LAAs with a minimum score of 616
  • International Education Stream — 41 LAAs with no score requirement; and
  • Skilled Workers Overseas – 20 who were invited directly by the MPNP under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative, with a minimum score of 703

76 of the 278 Letters of Advice to Apply issued in this draw were issued to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry ID and job seeker validation code.  According to records, this was MPNP’s 155th draw.

Skilled Workers in Manitoba

In this category, permanent residency is offered to individuals who have been offered a full-time, long-term job by a Manitoba company. It is essential that they receive this job offer after completing at least six months of full-time employment with the company as a temporary foreign worker or international student.

Individuals who are self-employed, business owners, owner-operators, or independent contractors are not eligible.

Applicants who have graduated from a post-secondary program in another canadian  province must work for a Manitoba employer for at least one year before applying.

 

International Education Stream:

  • This pathway requires a doctoral or master’s degree from Manitoba in the last three years. However, a job offer is not mandatory.
  • The Career Employment Pathway requires graduation from a DLI within the past three years. There is a requirement for a one-year full-time job offer.
  • The International Student Entrepreneur Pilot which needs a full-time post-secondary program from Manitoba. A minimum of two years is required. An applicant must own 51% of a Manitoban business and work as a senior manager for at least six months before applying.

Applicants must possess CLB 7 language proficiency.

 

Skilled Workers Overseas:

Candidates applying under this category must demonstrate an established connection to Manitoba by:

  • Support from family or friends
  • previous education or work experience in the province
  • An invitation to apply sent directly from the MPNP as part of its Strategic Recruitment Initiative.

A minimum of 60 points must also be achieved by considering the fie selection factors.

 

Who is not eligible for the Manitoba PNP?

The Following are not eligible to apply to the Manitoba PNP:

  • Those involved in a federal appeal or removal process, or those claiming refugee status
  • Live-in Caregivers currently living in Canada
  • Workers who are temporary foreign workers and residing in another province besides Manitoba
  • The spouse of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • Those who have been declined by the MPNP within the last six months and who are unable to explain the reason(s) for rejection
