New Scheme Offers 3,000 UK Visas to Indian Professionals

The UK government is launching the India Young Professional Scheme 2024, providing 3,000 visas to Indian nationals aged 18-30 for study, work, or residency in the UK.

• The first ballot opens on February 20, 2024, and runs until February 22, 2024, as announced by the British High Commission in India.
• Eligible candidates, including Indian graduates seeking to live, work, or study in the UK for up to 2 years, can enter the ballot for a visa opportunity.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Indian citizenship aged 18-30.
• Minimum bachelor’s degree qualification.
• Savings of £2,530 (approx. Rs 2.6 lakh) for UK support.
• No dependent children under 18.

Selection Process:

• Random ballot system ensures fairness.
• Successful entrants notified by email approximately two weeks after the ballot closes.
• Applicants should prepare for visa-related costs, including the £298 (approx. Rs. 31,131) application fee.
