Under the MMPA, the initiative was launched in May 2023 to foster skill sharing between Australia and India. Indians may now live and work in Australia for two years thanks to the MATES program, which currently reserves 3,000 slots yearly. Applications for the program are open to Indians between the ages of 18 and 35.
