The Deadline for the Canada IEC 2024 pool has been announced.

Canada’s IEC 2024 pool is open, with 90,000 spots available for youth aged 18–35 to live and work in Canada for up to 2 years. Applications close on October 21, 2024, so eligible candidates should apply soon

  • In December of last year, the IRCC opened the IEC 2024 pool.
  • October 21, 2024 is the deadline for the International Experience Class (IEC) applicant pool.
  • Candidates must submit their applications before the deadline if they wish to apply for the IEC program.
  • The IEC program will accept 90,000 applicants in 2024. 

The International Experience Class (IEC) in Canada: What is it?

Youths between the ages of 18 and 35 are eligible to work under the International Experience Class (IEC) work visa. Through the program, young people can live and work in Canada for up to two years, giving them the opportunity to obtain international job experience. Individuals can select from three distinct streams offered by the IEC.

The International Experience Class (IEC) offers three main streams:

  • International Co-op (Internship)
  • Young Professionals
  • Working Holiday

Requirement for the International Experience Class in Canada (IEC)

The IEC program is open to applicants from nations with which Canada has a Youth Mobility Agreement (YMA).

To be eligible for the Canada IEC program, they must also meet the qualifying standards listed below:

  • Must be between 18-35 (18-30 for some countries)
  • A passport
  • Port of Entry Letter
  • Proof of travel itinerary
  • Most recent bank statements acquired at least 7 days before flying to Canada
  • Proof of sufficient funds of at least $2,500
  • Medical insurance
  • A clear criminal record
