Nova Scotia PNP Draw nova scotia new immigration targets Nova Scotia Entrepreneur Draw
  • January 20, 2021

Nova Scotia issued invitations to the immigration candidates to apply for provincial nominations for permanent residence through its Labour Market priorities Stream on January 19. Although the province did not disclose how many invitations were issued in the draw.

The Labour Market Priorities Stream under Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) is linked with Express Entry where the candidates are required to have the valid profile under the federal Express Entry system. NSNP is able to select the candidates from the EE pool who are eligible and meet the provincial labour market needs.

The candidates, in this draw, must have primary occupation as Financial Officer under National Occupation Classification (NOC) code 1114.

The candidates who have received a Letter of Interest from NSNP through Express Entry are invited in this draw. The invited candidates are required to meet the minimum work experience requirement for the Express Entry stream, pay the required fees and must have sufficient funds to establish themselves in Nova Scotia.

In order to make an application for provincial nomination, the candidates are required to provide the reference letters from their employers and must have at least four years of work experience as a Financial Officer. Also, the candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or completed a program of at least three years at an educational institution. In addition to that, they must have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 9 or higher in English.

The CLB score requirement is higher than the previous draw which was 5 and easily achievable for the candidates.

The candidates who received a letter of invitation in this draw have to submit their application by February 18, 2021. They are required to include a copy of their Language tests, proof of education and proof of employment. You should start gathering required documents at earliest and ensure that you do not miss the last date of submission.

The candidates who receive the successful provincial nomination are awarded additional 600 CRS points which guarantees receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in a subsequent Express Entry draw due to current cut-off score trend.

If you are making an application for provincial nomination, make sure that you provide documented evidence for each requirement.
