The stream also allows Ontario Immigration Nominee Program to find Express Entry pool for the applicants having work experience in Ontario in the eligible skilled trades. Further, the applicants are invited to apply for provincial nomination for permanent residence.
The eligible trades are those listed in Minor Group 633 or Major Groups 72, 73 or 82 of Canada’s National Occupational Classification (NOC).
The provincial nomination program allows the provinces and territories to nominate economic class immigration applicants every year to apply for permanent residence.
Express Entry candidates who receive an NOI and apply for a provincial nomination from Ontario will be considered under the OINP’s 2020 nomination allocation.
