On October 27, Ontario invited 1,406 Express Entry candidates with a professional background in technology who may be eligible for Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream with a CRS score of 455 to 467.
In addition, candidates need one year of work experience in one of the following occupations:
Candidates who do not have work experience in one of these occupations will be refused. Also, invited candidates with foreign education may have to submit an Educational Credential Assessment so the OINP can verify that their education is equivalent to a Canadian bachelor’s degree or higher.
Those who receive the nomination from Ontario will automatically will automatically receive 600 CRS points added to their overall score in the Express Entry system and they have 45 calendar days to apply for Ontario’s Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities stream is an immigration stream under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).
It gives foreign workers with the required skilled work experience, language abilities and education the opportunity to apply to permanently live and work in Ontario.
Before you can apply online to be nominated for permanent residence by the Ontario government, you must have a valid profile in Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada’s (IRCC’s) Express Entry system and receive a Notification of Interest from Ontario.
If you are nominated, your next step is to apply to the federal government through IRCC. They make the final decision on who becomes a permanent resident.
