Quebec - Arrima Draw Quebec Experience Program
  • March 10, 2023

On March 10, the Quebec immigration department announced the details of the third Quebec Arrima draw of 2023, which was held on March 2.

The draw invited 1,017 profiles for Permanent Residency (PR). Unlike the second Arrima draw, this draw did not target any specific occupation or NOC codes.  Instead, profiles meeting certain criteria were considered for the draw. Specifically, those with a score of 589 points or higher as per Quebec’s scoring matrix or a legitimate employment offer outside the area of the Metropolitan Community of Montreal (Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal) were invited.

Furthermore, all eligible profiles in the Arrima pool meeting the aforementioned conditions as of February 27, 2023, at 6:30 a.m. were considered for this draw.

The good news is that the cut-off score dropped 20 points compared to a similar draw held on February 9, 2023. So far this year, Quebec has invited 3,039 profiles via three Arrima draws.

What is Quebec Arrima?

Quebec Arrima is an electronic system that manages applications for skilled workers who want to immigrate to Quebec. It works similarly to the federal Express Entry system.

Those who are interested in Quebec immigration can create and submit their profiles to be considered for the Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program draws. These profiles are valid for one year after submission.

The processing time for the Quebec Skilled Worker Program is currently 20 months, according to a recent update from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

While applicants wait for their files to be processed after receiving an invitation and submitting their documents, they have the option to apply for an open work permit.
