According to the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP), the amnesty program applies to several visa types, including expired residency permits, tourist visas, and those without documentation, those who illegally entered the country are excluded.
Those changing their status have the choice to go without being prohibited from traveling and can waive penalties and costs. Those who want to leave the nation will be issued a 14-day departure permit; penalties and limitations will be reinstated if they don't leave in that time.
Families with sponsors whose residences have expired can change their status without facing financial or legal repercussions, and fingerprint centers will stay open until 10 p.m. to meet demand.
In order to regularize their presence in the UAE or leave without facing legal repercussions, the Philippine Embassy and Consulate in the UAE encouraged its nationals to take advantage of the scheme.
"The amnesty program offers expats a chance to start over and change their immigration status. This program allows you to return to the Philippines with dignity and the chance to re-enter the UAE in the future with the right visa for those who are unable to find lawful employment within the nation, according to a joint statement from the Philippine missions there.
