With the launch of Canada’s new National Occupational Classification system, Ontario immigration has updated its Expression of Interest scoring system.
With the update, the province says regionalization will be enhanced, with top points awarded to applicants who have experience working or studying in Northern Ontario. In addition to improving operational efficiency, the province noted that the new scoring factors would reduce the program’s risk of program integrity.
According to the statement of Ontario Immigration Nominee Program, candidates who submitted their profiles before November 16, 2022, have to make new profiles and submit them.
