Alberta has conducted a new Express Entry draw, inviting 33 skilled workers in the agriculture sector with job offers to apply for Canadian immigration. The draw, which took place on October 3, 2023, required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 313 points.
The province of Alberta has increased its allocation of provincial nominations for 2023 to 9,750, a notable rise from the 6,500 nominations in 2022. As of now, Alberta has already issued 7,968 nominations this year.
However, the surge in applications under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program has led to a substantial number of submissions in specific occupations. Consequently, Alberta anticipates that the processing time for applications in the following occupations might be extended:
