In the most recent BC PNP draw of 2023, held on June 20th, approximately 145 individuals were invited to apply for permanent residency (PR) through targeted draws. The draw consisted of invitations specifically aimed at various occupations.
For the Tech sector, a total of 107 invitations were sent out, targeting 35 specific occupations under the BC PNP Skills Immigration and Express Entry streams. This provides opportunities for skilled individuals in the technology field to obtain PR status.
In addition, 18 invitations were extended to candidates with experience as Early Childhood Educators and assistants (NOC 42202). These invitations were specifically tailored for those with expertise in this field.
Furthermore, 19 invitations were targeted at individuals with profiles in 39 different healthcare-related occupations. This signifies the province’s focus on attracting skilled healthcare professionals to address the industry’s demands.
The cutoff score for all the categories in this draw remained the same as in the previous BC PNP targeted draws for Tech and Healthcare. This score acts as a benchmark for eligibility in these specific draws.
It is important to note that the processing timeframes for applications start when the BC PNP receives a complete application following the draw. These timeframes are based on 80% of cases and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
Looking ahead, the next BC PNP Draw is scheduled to take place on June 27, 2023. It is expected to be a general draw, encompassing BC PNP profiles across all occupations, including Tech occupations.
BC PNP Draws are typically held every week on Tuesdays, alternating between general draws and draws specifically focused on the Tech sector. This allows for a balanced approach in selecting candidates from a wide range of occupations.
