The latest BC Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw held on February 6 saw more than 213 invitations to apply (ITAs) for permanent residency (PR) issued through targeted rounds of invitations.
A total of 102 invites were extended in a general BC PNP draw, covering both the Express Entry and BC PNP Skills Immigration streams.
Among the invitations, 46 were directed towards profiles with experience as early childhood educators’ assistants or instructors (NOC 42202), while 26 applicants with expertise in 25 construction-related occupations were selected under British Columbia’s category-based draw, introduced in late 2023. Additionally, 39 profiles with experience in 39 healthcare-related occupations received invitations to apply for PR.
The cutoff score increased by 2 points across all streams in these draws, except for the Entry Level and Semi-Skilled stream, compared to the previous similar round of invitations on January 23, 2023.
Next BC PNP Draw in 2024:
The upcoming BC PNP draw for 2024 is anticipated to be announced on February 13. It is expected to comprise targeted rounds of invitations for early childhood educators, 35 tech occupations, 25 construction occupations, and 39 healthcare occupations.
Draw Schedule:
BC conducts draws regularly every week on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, alternating between general draws and targeted draws focusing on tech and healthcare sectors.
