British Columbia Invites 225 Candidates for PR in Latest PNP Draw

British Columbia’s Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) invited 225 candidates to apply for permanent residency (PR) in its latest draw on September 19, 2023. The draw included both general and targeted invitations.

In the general draw, 147 invitations were extended across all BC PNP Skills Immigration streams and Express Entry streams. Additionally, 51 invitations were specifically targeted at profiles with experience as Early Childhood Educators and Assistants (NOC 42202), while 27 invitations were aimed at profiles within 39 healthcare-related occupations.

It’s noteworthy that the cutoff score increased by 1 point across all categories, with the exception of the Entry-level and Semi-skilled categories.

On September 12, the BC PNP also issued approximately 5 invitations under the Base Entrepreneur Immigration stream to profiles with a score of 118 or higher. Additionally, less than 5 invitations were sent out in the Regional Pilot stream for Entrepreneurs.

 

BC PNP Processing Time:

  • Skills Immigration: 3 Months
  • Post-nomination requests: 3 Months

Processing timeframes are calculated based on 80% of cases and commence once the BC PNP receives a complete application following selection.

 

Upcoming BC PNP Draw in 2023:

The next BC PNP Draw is anticipated to take place on September 26, 2023. This forthcoming draw will be specifically targeted and is expected to include 35 Tech occupations, 39 Healthcare occupations, Early Childhood Educators, and other priority occupations (NOCs 31103 and 32104).

BC PNP Draws are regularly conducted every week, alternating between general draws and tech-only draws on either Tuesday or Wednesday.
