On January 23, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) initiated a draw, extending more than 215 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residency (PR) through both general and targeted draws.

In the general BC PNP draw, encompassing 35 tech occupations, a total of 79 invites were issued under the Express Entry and BC PNP Skills Immigration streams. Notably, the cutoff score remains consistent across all streams in the general draw compared to the previous round on January 10, 2023.

Specifically, 66 invites were directed towards profiles with experience as early childhood educators’ assistants or instructors (NOC 42202). In a new category-based draw, 34 applicants with expertise in 25 construction-related occupations received invitations. Additionally, 36 profiles with experience in 39 healthcare-related occupations secured invitations for permanent residency.

Looking ahead to 2024, the next BC PNP draw is anticipated on January 31. This targeted draw is expected to focus on early childhood educators, 35 tech occupations, 25 construction occupations, and 39 healthcare occupations.

BC conducts draws regularly every week on Tuesday or Wednesday, alternating between general draws and tech/healthcare-specific targeted draws.
