In the latest British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) draw on January 10, 2024, a total of 372 invitations to apply (ITAs) for permanent residency were issued. Here are the key highlights:
- General Draw: 110 invites were extended under the Express Entry and BC PNP Skills Immigration streams, as well as the Entry Level and Semi-Skilled streams. The cutoff score increased by 4-5 points compared to the previous draw on December 12, 2023.
- Occupation-Specific Draws:
- Early Childhood Educators: 113 invites were sent to profiles with experience in early childhood education (NOC 42202).
- Construction Occupations: A new category-based draw invited 74 applicants with experience in 25 construction-related occupations.
- Healthcare Occupations: 75 profiles with experience in 39 healthcare-related occupations received invitations.

The next BC PNP draw is expected on January 16 or 17, focusing on 35 tech occupations, early childhood educators, 25 construction occupations, and 39 healthcare occupations.
Weekly draws are held every Tuesday or Wednesday, alternating between general draws and targeted draws for tech and healthcare occupations.
