Canada has conducted its third large Express Entry draw in just 14 days, issuing 7,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to eligible candidates. This comes after two previous all-program draws, each with 7,000 ITAs.

The latest draw, which took place on March 29, featured a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 481, three points lower than the previous draw.

Canada has now issued a record-breaking 21,000 Express Entry invitations in just two weeks, making these three all-program draws the largest ever conducted. The only draw to surpass this was a one-off Covid-inspired draw in February 2021, which saw 27,332 invites issued to Canada Experience Class candidates.

The latest draw saw the tie-breaking rule implemented on February 14, 2023 07:35:00 UTC. This rule stipulates that if more than one candidate has the minimum CRS score, only those who submitted their Express Entry profiles before this date and time received invitations.

This  was the fifth all-program Express Entry draw of 2023, with the first two seeing 5,500 ITAs each. Canada has also conducted one draw targeted at Federal Skilled Worker candidates and three at Provincial Nominee Program candidates.

Candidates who received an invitation have a 60-day window to submit their applications, which will be processed within the standard six-month timeline. With a record immigration target of 465,000 for 2023, Canada is on track to issue even more ITAs in the coming months.
