On July 11, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted an all-program draw, inviting 800 candidates to apply through Express Entry. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required was 505, which is higher than the category-based selection invitations in the previous week but lower than the score of 511 required in the July 4 draw.

This draw encompassed candidates from various programs, including the Federal Skilled Worker, Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Trades, and Provincial Nominee Program. The tie-breaking rule implemented on October 01, 2022, at 06:13:05 UTC was applied, ensuring that only candidates who submitted their Express Entry profiles before this date and time received invitations if multiple candidates had the minimum CRS score.

In addition to the all-program draw, IRCC has also conducted category-based draws recently. On July 5, a STEM-category draw took place, inviting 500 candidates with work experience in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) occupations. The minimum CRS score for this draw was 486. On July 6, a healthcare-category draw was held, inviting 1,500 candidates with work experience in healthcare occupations, with a minimum CRS score of 463. Lastly, on July 7, a French-speaking draw took place, inviting 2,300 candidates with strong French-speaking abilities, where the minimum CRS score was 439.

In total, Canada has issued 65,348 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through Express Entry draws in 2023 so far, indicating a significant increase compared to the draws held in 2022. These recent Express Entry draws demonstrate Canada’s welcoming approach towards immigrants in larger numbers.
