Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 1,500 healthcare workers in a category-based draw on July 6, 2023. This is the lowest CRS score of any Express Entry round of invitations issued in 2023.

The minimum CRS score required for the draw was 463. Candidates who submitted their Express Entry profiles before June 19, 2023 06:41:05 UTC were eligible to receive an invitation.

This is the third day in a row that IRCC has invited Express Entry candidates. The healthcare category draw was anticipated as IRCC previously announced its intention to invite 1,500 healthcare workers this week. This follows the first-ever category-based draw on June 28, where 500 healthcare workers with a minimum CRS score of 476 received invitations to apply (ITAs).

These recent draws follow the inaugural invitations issued to candidates in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions on July 5. In that round, 500 STEM candidates with a minimum CRS score of 486 were granted ITAs.

Furthermore, on July 4, IRCC surprised candidates with an all-program draw, inviting 700 individuals with a minimum CRS score of 511. The all-program draw considers candidates in the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Canadian Experience Class, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program.

The consecutive rounds of invitations reflect IRCC’s commitment to inviting candidates across various categories to meet Canada’s immigration objectives.
