In the latest Express Entry draw held on July 4, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 700 candidates. This all-program draw required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 511.

Candidates from various programs, including the Federal Skilled Worker, Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Trades, and Provincial Nominee Program, were included in this draw. The tie-breaking rule implemented on July 01, 2023, 09:31:32 UTC, was applied, giving priority to those who submitted their Express Entry profiles before this date and time.

This draw comes as a surprise as IRCC plans to invite 1,500 healthcare workers through category-based selection on July 5. Additionally, it is expected that IRCC will invite candidates with work experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) occupations in the first-ever category-based selection Express Entry draw for STEM professions. The minimum CRS score for healthcare and STEM candidates is yet to be determined.

In the previous Express Entry category-based draw on June 28, IRCC invited 500 healthcare workers with a minimum CRS score of 476. It was also announced that STEM professions would be invited in a category-based Express Entry round during this week.

With a CRS score of 511, this draw has the highest requirement in any all-program draw of 2023. It is notably higher than the previous all-program draw on June 27, which invited 4,300 candidates with a minimum CRS score of 486. The score is also 35 points higher than the requirement of 476 in the category-based draw on June 28.
