Latest Alberta PNP Draws: 212 Candidates Receive NOI Letters

Alberta has recently conducted three new draws under the Alberta Express Entry stream from June 20 to 22, sent out 212 Notification of Interest (NOI) letters offering provincial nomination

In these three draws, the Alberta PNP considered Express Entry profiles with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores between 301 and above, while meeting specific requirements outlined below:

  • On June 22, 2023, the latest Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) draw invited 125 Express Entry profiles with CRS scores between 306 and 500. This draw targeted profiles with a family connection in Alberta and primary work experience in one of the in-demand occupations.
  • On June 21, 2023, the Alberta PNP draw invited 19 Express Entry profiles with CRS scores between 318 and 1,200. This draw specifically targeted profiles under the designated healthcare pathway, requiring a job offer from an employer in Alberta.
  • On June 20, 2023, Alberta invited 68 Express Entry profiles with CRS scores between 301 and 500. This draw focused on profiles with a job offer in the construction occupation within Alberta.

As of June 27, 2023, Alberta has already issued 5,282 nomination certificates across all categories. It is worth noting that Alberta has a total quota of 9,750 nominations for 2023, with 4,875 nominations set aside for Express Entry profiles.

 

Occupations with High Application Volumes

Certain occupations in the worker streams have a high volume of applications, which may result in longer processing times than usual. The occupations with increased application volumes are as follows:

  • 62020 – Food service supervisors
  • 62010 – Retail sales supervisors
  • 63200 – Cooks
  • 13110 – Administrative assistants
  • 12200 – Accounting technicians and bookkeepers
  • 73300 – Transport truck drivers
  • 21222 – Information systems specialists
  • 60020 – Retail and wholesale trade managers
  • 65201 – Food counter attendants, kitchen helpers, and related support occupations
  • 21231 – Software engineers and designers

Candidates with profiles in these occupations are advised to be aware of potential processing delays due to the higher number of applications received.
