Manitoba PNP Draw Invites 609 Skilled Workers for PR

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducted its draw on July 27, 2023, extending invitations to 609 candidates for permanent residency (PR). This draw targeted applicants in various categories, aiming to fulfill the province’s labor market and economic needs.

 

Skilled Worker in Manitoba Category

In this category, the draw focused on profiles declaring current employment in Manitoba, particularly in occupations identified with high labor demands. A total of 335 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were issued, and the ranking score of the lowest-ranked candidate invited stood at 614. The draw considered occupations falling under the National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2021 broad categories and major groups, including:

  • NOC 62: Retail sales and service supervisors and specialized occupations in sales and services
  • NOC 64: Sales and service representatives and other customer and personal services occupations
  • NOC 65: Sales and service support occupations

All Occupations Category

Under this category, all profiles that were not selected in the occupation-specific selection were considered. A total of 202 LAAs were issued, and the ranking score of the lowest-ranked candidate invited was 649.

 

International Education Stream

For the International Education Stream, the draw targeted profiles that met the eligibility requirements of this specific stream. A total of 51 LAAs were issued in this category.

 

Skilled Worker Overseas Category

The Skilled Worker Overseas category invited profiles that were directly invited by the MPNP under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative. In this draw, 21 LAAs were issued, and the ranking score of the lowest-ranked candidate invited was 717.

 

Express Entry Candidates

Among the 609 LAAs issued, 106 were allocated to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.

The MPNP draw on July 27, 2023, aimed to select candidates who could contribute to the growth and development of Manitoba’s economy and fill labor market gaps. Successful applicants receiving LAAs are now a step closer to obtaining permanent residency in Manitoba, a province known for its opportunities and welcoming environment for newcomers.
