Targeted Draws Based on Occupations with High Labor Needs
The 12 occupations for MPNP Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) category were selected based on recent data by Statistics Canada for occupations with high labor needs. These MPNP SWM occupation-specific draws are a perfect example of what Federal Express Entry targeted draws may adopt in the coming days.

Manitoba Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) general draw is for skilled workers who are currently working in Manitoba and have a permanent, full-time job offer from their employer. This draw sent out 226 LAAs to profiles having a MPNP score of 670 or higher.
Manitoba International Education Stream (IES)
The Manitoba International Education Stream (IES) is for international students who have graduated from an eligible post-secondary institution in Manitoba. 61 LAAs were sent out under this stream.
Manitoba Skilled Worker Overseas (SWO) Category
Additionally, 54 invitations were issued to the Manitoba Skilled Worker Overseas (SWO) category with a score of 708 or above under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
Active Express Entry Profile
Overall, 157 of the 566 Letters of Advice to Apply were sent to the applicants having an active Express Entry profile. Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program is a great opportunity for skilled workers and international graduates to become permanent residents of Canada.
