December 20, 2019 – Nova Scotia has started inviting 144 express entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence under its Labor Market Priorities Stream.
The draw invited candidates are those who belong to advertising, marketing or public relations stream. The selected candidates must meet the National Occupation Code (NOC) 1123.
The Nova Scotia Labor Market Priorities stream organizes a pathway to permanent residence for the eligible candidates who match labor market needs in the province.
Since the launch of stream in 2018, candidates from multiple backgrounds have been invited like as – early childhood workers, financial auditors, accountants, and French-speaking express entry candidates.
The candidates who will be selected have to provide a letter of reference from the employers showcasing that they have two or more than two years of full-time or part-time experience in advertising, marketing or public relations within the five years preceding the date of submission of application.
Apart from, candidates need to have English as their first official language and should have earned the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score of 9 or higher in all the language skills.
Candidates need to have a master’s degree and provide proof of education along with their application such as an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report issued by an institution designated by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
Moreover, they need to submit an Expression of Interest to the Express Entry pool on or after January 1, 2019.
Based on the above factors, the candidates who will be selected will have a chance to receive a provincial nomination from Nova Scotia. The selected express entry candidates with the provincial nomination will obtain an additional 600 points toward their comprehensive ranking system score, which will effectively guarantee and an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
