On February 8, 2024, Ontario’s Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) conducted three draws, collectively issuing 4,552 invitations for permanent residency (PR) across different streams.

Express Entry Draw:

Under the Human Capital Priorities (HCP) stream, an OINP Express Entry draw targeted profiles with primary occupations in 15 specified tech fields, with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score between 471 and 480. This draw resulted in 2,118 invitations extended to eligible candidates who created profiles between February 8, 2023, and February 8, 2024.

General Draw – International Student Stream:

The OINP Expression of Interest (EOI) general draw under the International Student Stream sent out 1,182 invitations to PR applicants with a score of 78 or above, meeting the eligibility criteria for this stream.

 

Healthcare and Tech Targeted Draw – International Student Stream:

Another EOI draw under the International Student Stream targeted healthcare and tech occupations. Profiles with scores of 73 and above received 1,252 invitations to apply for PR.

Occupational Targets:
The draws targeted specific occupations to address labor market needs. The healthcare occupations list comprised 41 roles, while the tech occupations list featured 15 positions. These occupations represent critical sectors where skilled professionals are in demand, aligning with Ontario’s economic priorities.
