Guidance for International Students Aspiring for PR in Canada

For international students aiming to obtain permanent residency in Canada, opting for a Masters program at one of the eligible universities in Ontario offers a strategic advantage. Pursuing a higher education degree not only enhances academic credentials but also provides several benefits:

  • Improved Career Prospects: A higher degree equips students with advanced skills and knowledge, positioning them for better career opportunities in the future.
  • Continued Stay: Enrolling in a Masters program grants students the status to remain in Canada as students, enabling them to further their education and gain valuable experience.
  • Enhanced PR Chances: Pursuing a Masters program significantly enhances the likelihood of securing permanent residency, especially through streams like the OINP Masters Graduate Stream.

An interesting point to note is that the OINP Masters Graduate Stream does not require a job offer, distinguishing it from other pathways. This unique feature makes it more appealing for students to invest in honing their career profile, rather than resorting to purchasing job offers, Labor Market Impact Assessments (LMIAs), or payrolls.
