On January 11, the Express Entry draw for 2024 by the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) sent out a remarkable 2,552 invitations for provincial nomination.

Individuals with valid Express Entry profiles created between January 11, 2023, and January 11, 2024, possessing a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in the range of 350–424 and experience in 49 skilled trade occupations received these invitations.

The Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream draw does not necessitate a separate OINP profile; however, valid profiles must align with one of the trade occupations eligible for this draw.

Upon receiving the provincial nomination, candidates benefit from an additional 600 points added to their current Express Entry profile. This increase elevates the Express Entry CRS score for invited profiles to a range between 950 and 1,024.

In the year 2023, the OINP Express Entry Skilled Trades stream invited a total of 7,512 profiles.
