Prince Edward Island (PEI) has invited 122 skilled worker candidates to apply for immigration to Canada in a new provincial draw held on May 4th, 2023. The invitations were issued through the Labour Impact and Express Entry Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) stream.
Monthly Draws Since 2018
PEI launched its Expression of Interest system at the start of 2018 and has been making monthly draws ever since, with some disruption due to the coronavirus pandemic. In 2022, PEI issued a total of 1,853 invitations, compared to 1,933 in 2021.
More Invitations to Skilled Workers
Of the 2022 invitations, 1,729 went to Labour Impact and Express Entry candidates, with the remaining 124 going to Business Impact candidates. The province has been issuing more invitations to skilled workers in recent years as it seeks to meet the growing demand for labour in various industries across the province.
