Prince Edward Island Draw PEI PNP
  • June 16, 2023

In two recent provincial draws, Prince Edward Island (PEI) has extended invitations to apply (ITAs) to 219 skilled worker and entrepreneur candidates seeking Canada immigration opportunities. These draws, conducted on June 15 and June 1, targeted candidates in the Labour Impact, Express Entry, and Business Impact streams of the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP).

The June 15 draw resulted in 118 ITAs being issued to candidates in the Labour Impact and Express Entry categories, while Business Impact candidates received 4 invitations. Business Impact candidates were required to have a minimum score of 82 points to be considered for an ITA.

In the June 1 draw, 97 invitations were exclusively extended to Labour Impact and Express Entry candidates.

PEI implemented its Expression of Interest (EOI) system at the beginning of 2018 and has been conducting monthly draws ever since, with occasional disruptions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, a total of 1,853 ITAs were issued, slightly lower than the 1,933 invitations extended in 2021. Out of the 2022 ITAs, 1,729 were allocated to Labour Impact and Express Entry candidates, while the remaining 124 were granted to Business Impact candidates.

These draws reflect PEI’s ongoing efforts to attract skilled individuals and entrepreneurs to contribute to the province’s economy and workforce. By extending ITAs to qualified candidates, PEI aims to provide opportunities for successful applicants to pursue their Canada immigration goals in Prince Edward Island.
