Saskatchewan holds the first EOI draw of 2021

Saskatchewan has held another draw for Expression of Interest (EOI) on January 21, 2021 issuing nominations to 502 candidates for subcategories Occupation-in-Demand and Express Entry. The previous draw held for the same categories 2 weeks before.

The minimum score required to qualify to receive the invitation in this EOI was 77 points in both the categories.

Saskatchewan issued invitations to 313 candidates for provincial nomination under Occupation-in-Demand category, while 189 candidates were invited under Express Entry category.

The candidates invited in this draw had Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) done. The following National Occupation Classification (NOC) Codes were included in this draw for both Occupation-in-Demand and Express Entry category.

Please note that the SINP limits the selection of EOIs by occupation so that nominees with positive employment prospects in Saskatchewan are selected and nominations do not exceed employment demand. The size and frequency of EOI Selections will be determined by the needs of the SINP application inventory. Selections will take place on a bi-monthly basis, at minimum. The dates of the selections will not be posted before they take place.

International Skilled Worker EOI is a pre-application that allows you to fill an online form indicating your interest in applying for SINP and demonstrate your qualifications. This information is used to assess the eligibility. The assessment determines whether your submission is entered into the International Skilled Worker EOI system.

Those who have required skills required as per Saskatchewan’s job market are selected from the International Skilled Worker EOI system. These include connections to the province, work experience, and language proficiency. Those selected from the system are issued Invitation to Apply.

Note that not all candidates who submit an International Skilled Worker EOI will be invited to apply to the SINP. There are no limits on the number of candidates who can submit an EOI; however, candidates can only have one EOI profile.
