Saskatchewan Entrepreneur Draw: 58 Immigration Candidates Invited

On March 3, Saskatchewan immigration conducted a new Entrepreneur stream draw, issuing 58 invitations through the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program with a minimum score of 80 and an average score of 90.

So far, in 2022, Saskatchewan has held two draws. Over fifty immigrant candidates have been invited for PR.

 

Entrepreneurship stream draw – Requirements

The province of Saskatchewan uses three selection factors to separate candidates who have the same score on the Entrepreneur stream point’s grid. The three factors, in order of priority, are:

  • Official language ability.
  • Those with businesses planned for a key economic sector.
  • Completion of an exploratory visit.

 

Stages of the nomination in Entrepreneurship stream

The nomination for the entrepreneurship consists of three stages. They are

  • Expression of interest
  • Invitation to submit application
  • Nomination

The expression of interest must meet the following minimum entry requirements:

  • The minimum net worth should have been legally acquired and amount to $500,000.
  • Three years of entrepreneurial or relevant management experience is required.
  • A minimum investment of $300,000 in Regina or Saskatoon, or $200,000 in any other Saskatchewan area.

Candidates enter a pool where they receive a score. The top scoring candidates are invited to submit an application.

 

Components of the application

  • You will be required to submit a Business establishment plan confirming your investment figures, at least one third of the ownership of the company in Saskatchewan unless investment is $1 million or higher.
  • Commitment to be active in day-to-day management of business.
  • If the business is located in Regina or Saskatoon, it must create two or more jobs for Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
