The Canadian passport is regarded as one of the best in the world

According to Global Citizens Solutions’ Global Passport Index research, the Canadian passport is in the top three in the world. Increased travel restrictions and a widening global mobility gap have resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic. The largest worldwide mobility disparity ever recorded since the inaugural index report 17 years ago, according to a recent report from the Henley Passport Index. Mobility Improvements

On the Enhanced Mobility index, Canada had a score of 97.21. The index is based on the passport holder’s travel privileges, such as the number of countries to which they can travel without a visa or the ease with which they can travel to a country.Canadian passport holders have visa-free entry to 103 countries, 35 countries that only require visas upon arrival, and 19 countries that require an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA).

Investment

The Investment index considers how appealing a passport holder’s country is for international investment prospects. In a nutshell, the index provides a broad assessment of the economy as a factor to consider when making business and investment decisions, with a preference for rich countries with dynamic economies. The Canadian passport obtained a high ranking for a variety of reasons, including its solid financial system and labour market.According to the most recent Labour Force Survey from Statistics Canada, the Canadian economy added 55,000 jobs in December 2021. This comes after the Canadian economy surpassed pre-pandemic employment levels in the previous month’s report. Canada looks to immigration to address labour market shortages as job vacancies reach new highs.
