For the Expression of Interest system, the latest Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) held draw on July 27th 2021 that invited over 148 Express Entry candidates with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores of at least 300.

For 2021, Alberta is allowed to issue 6,250 nomination certificates out of which it has now invited over 2,761 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination since it resumed invitation rounds in January 2021

 

The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program

The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) is an economic immigration program that nominates people for permanent residence in Alberta and is run by the governments of Alberta and Canada. These programs helps those who have the skills, education and work experience to contribute to the economy of a Alberta, wants to live in that Alberta, and who want to become permanent residents of Canada.

Not all Express Entry candidates meeting the requirement for the Alberta Express Entry Stream will receive an NOI from the AINP or be asked to apply. The AINP does not provide a list of eligible occupations; rather it offers a list of occupations that are not eligible for the stream. Many who apply under this stream work as food service supervisors, transport truck driver, and cooks among others. Your Express Entry profile should indicate that you have an interest in moving to Alberta.

 

Eligibility criteria’s:   

IRCC regularly holds Express Entry draws, inviting the highest-scoring candidates to apply for permanent residence. Only the ones those meets all the criteria and are scored on these factors such as age, education, work experience, language ability in English or French, and other factors. On the basis of these scores, the eligibility of the candidates to become a part of Canada’s resident is declared.

Ensuring to score high to gain a higher rank, one should also enroll for provisional program and not just for express entry system.

Alberta searches the Express Entry pool to find qualified candidates based on their available profile information. In order to be selected for this draw by the province, candidates must have stated an interest to immigrate to Alberta and have a CRS score of at least 300, among others. Express Entry candidates who receive a provincial nomination from Alberta are awarded an additional 600 CRS points. This practically guarantees receiving an invitation to apply for permanent residence in the coming Express Entry draws.
