British Columbia holds a Tech Pilot draw

BC PNP draw -British Columbia Draw
  • February 9, 2021

British Columbia held a draw for Provincial Nominee Program inviting 74 candidates under Tech Pilot to apply for the provincial nomination on February 9. The draw invited the candidates under the Express Entry BC and Skilled Immigration categories.

EEBC stream is for the Express Entry candidates who have valid profile created. This stream is a pathway for the EE candidates to attain the PR in the province. The SI category is for skilled and semi-skilled workers whose occupations are in high demand in the province.

The minimum provincial score of 80 points is required for the candidates of Skilled Worker and International Graduate.

Tech Pilot was introduced in 2017 that provides a fast-track pathway for Canadian PR for international skilled individuals who have job offer in any one of the 29 eligible occupations.

Candidates invited under EEBC – Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories will obtain additional points of 600 under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Later, an Invitation to Apply (ITA) will be issued if they are successfully nominated through the Express Entry draw.

British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) categories are managed under BC’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). In order to apply through the SIRS, eligible candidates are first required to register an account.  Once they complete that step, candidates are assigned a score based on factors like education, work experience and language proficiency.

Candidates who have the highest scores are invited to apply for the provincial nomination through the draw from the province.

The candidates who wish to apply under the categories that are managed by the SIRS are required to have a job offer from an employer in BC.

British Columbia has held 6 draws through various PNP categories so far and invited over 800 candidates which is good news for the applicants. We can have high expectations for more draws and more invitations.
